Blue Jays Force Game 7 in ALCS Thriller

Date:

The Blue Jays secured a 6-2 victory over the Seattle Mariners in Game 6 of the American League Championship Series. Toronto capitalized on Seattle’s fielding errors, taking an early lead with a strong offensive performance. Addison Barger’s key hits, including a two-run homer, and Vladimir Guerrero Jr.’s solo shot contributed to the Jays’ lead.

Rookie pitcher Trey Yesavage impressed with seven strikeouts over six innings, supported by the team’s solid defense that executed three inning-ending double plays. Although the Mariners managed to score two runs in the sixth inning, Toronto responded swiftly to extend their lead.

Guerrero’s unconventional baserunning in the seventh inning added another run for the Jays. Closer Jeff Hoffman sealed the win by striking out four Mariners. The series is now tied at 3-3, setting the stage for a decisive Game 7 on Monday at Rogers Centre.

Both teams expressed determination for the final game, with the Blue Jays aiming for their first World Series appearance since 1993. Veteran Shane Bieber is set to start for Toronto, while George Kirby will take the mound for the Mariners. The winner of Game 7 will advance to face the Los Angeles Dodgers in the World Series.
