Soccer athlete Delaney Baie (DB) Pridham has clinched the accolade of Northern Super League player of the year, adding to her collection of trophies. The top scorer for Ottawa Rapid has also been crowned the league’s forward of the year after claiming the golden boot award for scoring a remarkable 18 goals. Pridham, a dual citizen of Canada and the United States hailing from northern California, led the NSL in both total shots (83) and shots on target (42). Notably, she achieved the distinction of scoring the league’s inaugural hat trick in June.
In a recent announcement, Jyllissa Harris from Ottawa was honored as the NSL defender of the year. Furthermore, two players from Rapid, Olivia Scott in defense and Min A Lee in midfield, were also recognized in the league’s “team of the year.”
Rapid secured the runner-up position in the six-team league standings with a record of 11 wins, eight losses, and six draws, accumulating a total of 39 points from 25 matches. The team is set to face off against Vancouver Rise in a two-legged semifinal series next week.
