CF Montreal has officially extended forward Prince Owusu’s contract for five years, as announced by the team on Friday. The extension covers the seasons of 2026, 2027, and 2027-28, with additional options for the 2028-29 and 2029-30 campaigns, facilitated through targeted allocation money.
During his debut season with the club in 2025, Owusu netted a total of 17 goals across various competitions, including 13 in Major League Soccer, two in the Canadian Championship, and two in the Leagues Cup. His outstanding performance earned him CF Montreal’s prestigious Giuseppe-Saputo Trophy, recognizing him as the team’s Most Valuable Player.
Originally acquired through a trade with Toronto FC on January 13, 2025, the 28-year-old Owusu boasts a rich international experience, having represented Germany at the under-15, U18, and U19 levels before receiving his first call-up to the Ghanaian national team just last month.
