In Dawson Creek, B.C., the United States secured a 3-2 victory over Canada in the Para Cup hockey tournament, marking Canada’s first defeat in the competition. Josh Pauls contributed a goal and an assist, while Jack Wallace and Declan Farmer also found the net for the U.S., maintaining their unbeaten streak after three games. On the other side, Tyler McGregor scored both goals for Canada.

Reflecting on the game, U.S. head coach David Hoff acknowledged some struggles in the defensive zone but praised the team’s competitive spirit. Highlighting key saves from goalie Jen Lee, Hoff emphasized the team’s resilience and ability to secure the win.

The match saw Pauls kick off the scoring early in the first period, followed by Wallace extending the lead just before the second period ended. McGregor narrowed the gap early in the third period, but Farmer quickly restored the U.S.’s two-goal advantage. McGregor managed to score again late in the game.

Looking ahead, Canada is set to face the Czech Republic in the upcoming semifinal, while the U.S. will take on China. Both semifinal matches are scheduled for Friday, with the medal games slated for Saturday.
