Teammate Felix Roussel claimed silver in the same event.
The Montreal native crossed the finish line in 2:16.600, with Roussel closely behind at 2:16.670, earning him the silver medal. Sun Long from China completed the podium with a bronze in 2:16.772. Dandjinou also clinched the World Tour title in the men’s 500m final, adding a silver medal to his collection.
Dandjinou expressed his joy in sharing the podium with Roussel, emphasizing their competitive journey throughout the season. With a total of 832 points, Dandjinou dominated the season standings, with Italy’s Pietro Sighel trailing at 594 points. In the men’s 500m final, a dramatic race unfolded with Steven Dubois initially crossing the finish line first but later being penalized for a lane change violation, leading to his disqualification. American Andrew Heo claimed the gold, followed by Dandjinou with silver and Poland’s Felix Pigeon with bronze.
On the women’s side, Canadian Courtney Sarault extended her lead for the Crystal Globe by winning the 1,000m event. Sarault’s victory, her third gold in the discipline this season, secured her position at the top of the overall season standings. She leads American Corrine Stoddard by 100 points with two events remaining.
