Jody Wilson-Raybould to Begin Breast Cancer Treatment

Former federal justice minister Jody Wilson-Raybould has announced that she will commence breast cancer treatment following a recent surgical procedure. Wilson-Raybould shared the news on social media, expressing gratitude for the support and experiences of resilience shared by others. She specifically thanked her medical team and the B.C. Cancer Agency for their care.

Encouraging regular mammograms and screenings for various health conditions, Wilson-Raybould highlighted the importance of early detection. Having served in Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s Liberal cabinet for three years before resigning and being re-elected as an Independent in 2019, Wilson-Raybould remains a prominent figure in Canadian politics.

Despite the unexpected turn of events at the start of 2026, Wilson-Raybould remains optimistic and determined as she prepares to undergo treatment for breast cancer.
