Olivia Rodrigo draws inspiration from Lilith Fair as she announces her own music festival, Daisy Chain Fields. The festival, featuring an all-women lineup, is a dream come true for the three-time Grammy winner, set to take place on August 29 in Irvine, California.
Apart from Rodrigo, the festival will showcase performances by various artists such as Chappell Roan, Doechii, Katseye, Mitski, the Breeders, Die Spitz, Bikini Kill, Eli, Garbage, Quiet Light, Rachel Chinouriri, and Not for Radio. Special guests include Sarah McLachlan, Stevie Nicks, and Karen O.
Rodrigo expressed her desire for the festival to address societal issues, emphasizing the need for diverse and inclusive lineups. Through Daisy Chain Fields, she aims to evoke positive change and unity, echoing the original ethos of Lilith Fair.
The festival, grounded in the values of joy, community, and creativity, will donate all net proceeds to charities supporting women and girls, including Planned Parenthood, Johns Hopkins Center for Indigenous Health, and the National Institute for Reproductive Health.
Olivia Rodrigo’s commitment to social causes is evident through her non-profit fund, 4 Good, established in 2023 to champion reproductive rights, girls’ education, and gender-based violence prevention. Fans can now access presale tickets for the event, with general admission starting at $250 US.
Rodrigo’s latest album, “You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love,” has secured her third consecutive No. 1 position on the Billboard charts, following the success of her debut album “Sour” and its successor “Guts.”
