“Thénault Soars to Silver at World Cup Aerials”

Canadian freestyle skier Marion Thénault secured a silver medal at the World Cup women’s aerials event held in Ruka, Finland. Thénault earned a total of 82.48 points in the final competition, marking her first podium finish of the season. Xu Mengtao from China clinched the gold with an impressive score of 89.29, while Chen Meiting, also representing China, claimed the bronze with 75.31 points.

Thénault demonstrated a remarkable performance by advancing from fifth place in the qualifying round to third place in the initial final before ultimately landing on the second step of the podium. The 25-year-old athlete, hailing from Sherbrooke, Quebec, had previously won a bronze medal at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics in the mixed team aerials event.
