“Digital Marketer Becomes Grass in Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl Show”

Date:

Andrew Athias, a digital marketer from Philadelphia, had a unique experience performing as a bushel of grass during Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show. He was among hundreds of individuals who created the sugarcane field ambiance for the Puerto Rican artist’s spectacular performance.

Athias shared that while the grass costume was comfortable and well-padded, it came with the challenge of blades getting into unusual places like his nose, mouth, and ears. He humorously mentioned the casting process, joking that Bad Bunny contacted him directly to offer the role, but in reality, there was an open casting call with specific height requirements.

After finding out he made the cut just two weeks before the Super Bowl, Athias faced travel challenges due to a snowstorm, causing him to miss an initial rehearsal. He emphasized the strict secrecy around the show, including signing a non-disclosure agreement to keep his involvement confidential.

During rehearsals, Bad Bunny was absent, represented by a stand-in known humorously as “Good Rabbit.” Athias highlighted the secrecy surrounding the event, sharing that he was positioned near the pink house where various celebrities emerged during the show.

Despite the hard work and limited pay, Athias expressed gratitude for being part of such a significant event. He reflected on the symbolic nature of the performance, representing Bad Bunny’s journey from humble beginnings to international stardom and showcasing Puerto Rico to a global audience.

In conclusion, Athias cherished the experience and the opportunity to contribute to what he described as a beautiful moment.
