Canadiens’ Dach Sidelined with Fractured Foot

Date:

The Montreal Canadiens have announced that forward Kirby Dach will be sidelined for the next four to six weeks due to a fractured foot. To fill the roster spot, the team has called up forward Joshua Roy from the Laval Rocket, their American Hockey League affiliate.

This injury adds to the Canadiens’ recent string of setbacks. Earlier, the team revealed that forward Alex Newhook and defenseman Kaiden Guhle would be out for an extended period following surgeries. Newhook had surgery on his right ankle and is expected to be out for four months, while Guhle underwent a procedure for a partially torn adductor muscle and is projected to miss eight to 10 weeks.

Dach, who has recorded five goals and two assists in 15 games this season, will now undergo a recovery period before returning to action.
