In a nation with a strong Tim Hortons presence, the question arises: will Dunkin’ attract customers? Foodtastic, a Montreal-based restaurant operator, believes so and is set to introduce hundreds of Dunkin’ outlets to Canada soon.
Foodtastic announced on Tuesday a partnership with Inspire Brands to reintroduce Dunkin’, one of the largest coffee chains in the U.S., to the Canadian market. Specific details regarding the locations, launch dates, and the total number of Dunkin’ stores in Canada remain undisclosed. However, the initial Dunkin’ store is expected to open its doors to customers by late 2026 or early 2027.
Dunkin’, previously known as Dunkin’ Donuts, had a substantial presence in Canada until 2018 when it exited the market following a successful lawsuit by Quebec franchisees who claimed inadequate brand promotion. Established in 1950, the chain offers a variety of products including coffee, doughnuts, and breakfast sandwiches.
