American celebrity Kim Kardashian has shared that she received a diagnosis of a brain aneurysm, as reported by U.S. media sources. The revelation came during a preview for the latest season of her reality show, “The Kardashians,” which recently premiered on Hulu. In the teaser, Kardashian mentioned that a “small aneurysm” was discovered by doctors following an MRI scan. She also indicated that the condition might have been triggered by stress, particularly during her divorce from musician Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) in 2022.
Kardashian, known for advocating full body MRI scans, highlighted their benefits in the past, despite some medical professionals cautioning against their universal utility. It remains uncertain whether Kardashian is experiencing symptoms related to the aneurysm, as her representatives have yet to respond to requests for comment.
A brain aneurysm involves the enlargement or bulging of blood vessels in the brain. If these vessels rupture, they can lead to a brain bleed, also recognized as a hemorrhagic stroke. Typically, brain aneurysms, especially when small, are not life-threatening, and are often incidentally discovered during medical examinations for other issues.
While stress is not typically identified as a direct cause of brain aneurysms, it can contribute to conditions like high blood pressure, which is a known risk factor for aneurysms according to Johns Hopkins Medical Center. Apart from her television roles, such as playing a lawyer in the Hulu series “Alls Fair,” Kardashian has dedicated the past year to her Law Office Study Program, aiming to become a trial attorney. She was involved in providing testimony in a trial involving a gang dubbed the “grandpa robbers,” who allegedly stole millions in jewelry from her at gunpoint during Paris Fashion Week in 2016.
