“Oilers’ Jarry Placed on Injured Reserve, Ingram Recalled”

Date:

The Edmonton Oilers have officially placed goaltender Tristan Jarry on injured reserve, as confirmed by the NHL team on Friday. Jarry exited the game against Boston on Thursday night during the second period after swiftly moving from left to right in an attempt to make a crucial save.

This decision to move Jarry to injured reserve follows his recent acquisition, along with forward Sam Poulin, from the Penguins. In exchange, the Oilers sent goalie Stuart Skinner, defenseman Brett Kulak, and a 2029 second-round pick to Pittsburgh. Since joining Edmonton, Jarry has won all three of his starts but has recorded a 3.08 goals-against average and an .887 save percentage.

To fill the gap left by Jarry’s absence, the Oilers have recalled goaltender Connor Ingram from the Bakersfield Condors in the American Hockey League to serve as backup to Calvin Pickard, who excelled in relief duty on Thursday.

Additionally, forward Jack Roslovic has been moved to long-term injured reserve due to an undisclosed injury sustained during Edmonton’s recent loss to Dallas. Prior to his injury, Roslovic was having a standout season with 10 goals and eight assists in 23 games.

The Oilers are set to take on the Minnesota Wild in St. Paul on Saturday afternoon, following these roster adjustments.
