“Rush Adds 17 Canadian Cities to Reunion Tour”

Date:

Rush has expanded the list of Canadian cities on the itinerary for the highly anticipated reunion tour of the band. Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson confirmed the addition of 17 more cities to their concert tour scheduled for next year, commencing in June and running through to the end of the year. Among the new destinations are Montreal on September 2, 2026, along with Edmonton on December 10 and Vancouver on December 15.

The Fifty Something tour schedule now includes several other major cities such as Philadelphia, Boston, Washington, Atlanta, Seattle, and Tampa, Fla. The band from Toronto announced that all previously revealed dates, including four nights in Toronto, have already sold out.

General public ticket sales for the newly added shows will start on October 31 following several presales kicking off on Thursday. This tour marks Rush’s return to live performances since the significant R40 tour in 2015 and the passing of their drummer Neil Peart in 2020 due to an aggressive form of brain cancer. Anika Nilles, a German drummer, will step in to replace Peart on the tour.

In a YouTube video released on Monday, Lee and Lifeson expressed their astonishment at the overwhelming response to the initial set of dates. Lee cautioned fans about the online scalpers who have been rapidly purchasing tickets in an attempt to profit from the high demand, advising fans to secure their seats through Ticketmaster or the official Rush website. “The resellers are taking advantage of the situation by inflating prices, so please stay vigilant,” he emphasized.
