Prince Harry is scheduled to journey to Toronto this week to engage with veterans at the Sunnybrook Veterans Centre and participate in various activities leading up to Remembrance Day. The prince’s visit to the city is set for Wednesday and Thursday.
During the morning of Wednesday, Harry will partake in a series of commitments before joining a private luncheon arranged by the True Patriot Love Foundation. This organization is dedicated to providing assistance to Canadian military personnel, veterans, and their families. In the evening, the prince will be present at a fundraising dinner supporting the HALO Trust, an organization that was also championed by his late mother, Princess Diana.
On Thursday, Harry will spend time at the Sunnybrook Veterans Centre for a private meeting with residents, as confirmed by a spokesperson from Sunnybrook. Later in the evening, he will attend the national tribute dinner hosted by True Patriot Love. The organization did not provide any comments on the royal visit events.
Prince Harry, aged 41 and the Duke of Sussex, has a military background, having served in the British army for 10 years, which included two deployments to Afghanistan.
Having relocated to the U.S. in 2020, Harry and his wife Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, briefly resided in Canada before settling in Meghan’s native state of California.
In 2020, the couple announced their decision to step back from their senior royal roles. The subsequent year, Buckingham Palace disclosed that Harry and Meghan would not resume their former duties as working members of the Royal Family.
In the line of succession of the Royal Family, Harry, the son of King Charles, holds the fifth position. The first in line to the throne is his brother, Prince William, followed by William’s three children: Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
