BTS Members Criticized for Attending Chris Brown Concert

Date:

Korean pop group BTS has received criticism from some fans following their appearance alongside controversial American singer Chris Brown at his Toronto concert. J-Hope (Jung Ho-seok) and RM (Kim Nam-joon) were seen at Brown’s show at Rogers Stadium, where Brown was performing alongside Usher.

A photo shared on Brown’s Instagram showed J-Hope and RM posing with the singer, and videos on social media captured them enjoying the performance. Brown, known for his criminal record and past legal issues, has faced assault charges, including a notorious incident involving singer Rihanna in 2009.

Despite Brown’s troubled history, J-Hope and RM’s attendance at his show sparked mixed reactions among BTS’s fanbase, known as ARMY. Some fans expressed disappointment and disillusionment, while others defended the members, suggesting they may have been there to see Usher and not necessarily to support Brown knowingly.

While acknowledging Brown’s controversial past, supporters of J-Hope and RM emphasized the importance of not rushing to judgment without understanding the context of their attendance. BTS representatives have not yet responded to requests for comments on the matter.
