Kaylie Buck Grabs Silver at World Cup Snowboard Event

Canadian snowboarder Kaylie Buck clinched the silver medal at the World Cup in the women’s parallel giant slalom event held in Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy on Saturday. Hailing from Oakville, Ontario, Buck completed the race in a time of one minute and 17.35 seconds. Austrian competitor Sabine Payer secured the gold with a time of 1:15.99, surpassing Buck in the final. Czech Republic’s Zuzana Maderova claimed the bronze after defeating Italy’s Jasmin Coratti in the small final.

This achievement marked the pinnacle of Buck’s performance in the World Cup season, as the 25-year-old had finished 23rd the previous Saturday and 30th the following Sunday.
