Ottawa Senators goalie Linus Ullmark has been given permission to take time off for personal reasons, the team revealed on Sunday. In a statement, Steve Staios, the team’s president of hockey operations and general manager, announced Ullmark’s leave without specifying the reasons but assured that the organization fully supports him during this period. Staios also mentioned that out of respect for Ullmark, no further details will be disclosed.
Ullmark, aged 32, has secured 14 victories in 28 games this season, maintaining a 2.95 goals against average and an .881 save percentage. His most recent game was on Saturday when the Senators faced a 7-5 defeat against the Toronto Maple Leafs, where he allowed four goals on 14 shots.
The Ottawa Senators will return to the ice on Monday for a game against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
