Despite not enabling the “not safe for work” setting or activating the “kids mode,” Nasser was shocked by the chatbot’s default content. Tesla did not respond to Nasser’s experience, but xAI provided a generic response dismissing the concerns as “Legacy media lies.”
According to xAI’s policy, Grok is not intended for children under 13, and teenagers between 13 and 17 require parental consent to use it.
